Jesus and George Washington

Regan thinks she is in charge of Emma because she is "almost 6 years old" after all Emma is "only three"! So the other day Emma was being naughty and Regan proceeded to tell her how disappointed Jesus and George Washington were going to be in her cause they were both watching her from heaven and could see her being bad. They've learned a lot about George Washington in Kindergarten and have been to Mount Vernon a couple times since it's only about 7 miles from our house so he is very esteemed in Regan's eyes...I just didn't realize he ranked up there with Jesus. Too funny! I'm just happy she didn't say Jesus and Obama...I would have had an a heart attack and/or stroke!

Princess Emma

Emma got a new scooter this weekend and it has caused an endless amount of fighting between she and Regan so I took it away for a few days. This morning she asked to get it back and I told her no that it was raining outside and she was riding it in the house. So she turned to me and said she was a princess and was calling her guards to come put me in the dungeon unless I get her scooter now. I didn't give in and am now blogging you all from the dungeon as Emma and Dixie run rampant all over the house. Send help now!

Gabi's Sketching

As most of you know, Gabi has had a lot of problems with her stomach the past few months which has resulted with her being up late into the night many times. On those nights she discovered a love for sketching and being the proud Mama I must say I think she's pretty good especially for an 11 yr old with no training or lessons whatsoever. So I thought I would show off some of her first drawings she did a couple months ago.

Emma At The River

One of my favorite activities with the girls is to go to the Potomac River here on Fort Belvoir and let them explore and collect treasures otherwise known as rocks, sticks, snail shells, and once they even picked up petrified goose poop.(That I could have done without!!!) A few days ago we had a nice day in the midst of all this spring rain we've been having so Emma, Dixie, and I spent the afternoon at the river. Here are some of the pictures I took. It was a great day and she and Dixie really enjoyed theirselves. And Emma being Emma she made friends with all the fishermen and people walking their dogs who were out there....can't imagine where she gets the friendly chattiness from?!
